Beauty Diaries: How to Use a Brow Pencil
If you've recently decided to get in on the bold brow beauty trend, and you're not sure where to start, don't panic. First, if you really don't know where to begin, I suggest heading to your local Sephora and making an appointment at Benefit's Brow Bar. The arch experts are excellent and will help you out by mapping your natural arches, and giving you tips on how best to groom and treat those brows of yours.
Now, there are many brow products readily available for purchase at your local beauty or drug store but it's difficult to choose the right one. My top pick for brow pencil is Anastasia's Brow Wiz (as featured in Issue 5 of Holl and Lane Magazine -- go purchase a digital copy now for 25% off with special discount code ISSUE5FRIENDS&FAMILY).
I won't go into too great detail about why I love it as you can read it in Holl and Lane (seriously, check it out!), but I will say that it is fuss-free, makes your brows look great, and is worth the purchase!
HOW TO USE IT:
1. Simply use the spooley to comb your eyebrow hairs up, and draw a line with your pencil along your lower arch, creating a frame for your brows.
2. Similarly, comb down your eyebrow hairs, now, and define the top of your arch along the hairline.
3. When your brows have been framed and defined, slowly use the pencil to fill in any gaps or thinner areas.

4. Once filled in, use the spooley to comb your eyebrows and blend in the product, making for a more natural look.
